I'M Denyse

Denyse Walls is the Chief Operating Officer of myth/magick, working in both Chicago and Los Angeles. Denyse grew up in Los Angeles and received a scholarship to Pomona College where she earned her BA in Africana Studies. She also studied the history of the African diaspora at the University of The West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago.

 

 

Denyse began her career working in luxury retail sales, starting as a sales associate on Rodeo Drive. While maintaining her retail job she founded her first business in 2013, LA Aqua Babies. LA Aqua Babies was a seasonal swim business dedicated to providing swim safety training for infants.

 

Eventually, Denyse decided to focus her energy on helping other small businesses become profitable through technology by working for a Fortune 15 company. There, she became known for skillfully negotiating business contracts and exceeding sales targets year over year. She has spent the last several years building an extensive network of over 400 corporate executives, investors, and distribution managers.

 

 

In 2015, Denyse was selected as one of 55 fellows nationwide in a pre-MBA program for young professionals at UCLA's Anderson School of Management. She participated in case studies to analyze business decisions and systems. She mentored teenagers at The Saturday Business Institute to help a group of high school students achieve their dreams of gaining college acceptance. Denyse continues to provide mentorship to high school students looking for guidance.

 

 

Recently, Denyse’s body of work has broadened to launch the skincare company myth/magick. Prompted by her passion to provide products that are safe, non-toxic, and effective; Denyse founded the brand along with best friend Ariana Jones.
